Crime against Women: 01
  • A case of outraging the modesty of woman along with house trespass has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 22/07/2006 at 1145 hrs accused Joyee and Bala @ Balakrishna criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Sulochana (35) W/o Kannan r/o Maniyuthu House Neriya village Belthangady Taluk and insulted her by abusing in filthy language and also outraged her modesty. Motive seems to be financial transaction between the accused and her husband.
Road Traffic Accidents:


Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station where in one Maimuna (26) w/o Rafiq was declared dead while under treatment on 02/08/2006 at 1700 hrs. The said Maimuna was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 27/07/2006 at 1200 hrs near Netravathi Bridge Jappinamogaru Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the Hospital. In this connection a case has already been registered in Ullal Police Station.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 03/08/2006 at 1530 hrs in front of Konkan Gas Shop at Bikarnakatte Mangalore one Vishal (30) rider of a Honda Activa Scooter bearing KA-19-S-9857 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-7736. As a result the Scooter rider sustained simple injuries.

  • A case of attempt murder and Rioting has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 03/08/2006 at 2145 hrs Chandrashekara, Manoj, Amit, Ninesh, Tharanatha, Santhosh and others forming into an unlawful assembly stopped the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-277 belonging Dr. Mithun Shetty (26) and abused him in filthy language, assaulted with sword and wooden stick and tried to kill him and also damaged the car by breaking the window glass owing to trivial issue with his Room mate Chandrashekara.

  • A case under Rioting, public disturbance and preventing the police officers in the discharge of their duties has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 03/08/2006 at 1730 hrs at Kulashekara Kaikamba Mangalore around 750 members of Hindu organizations had arranged Hindu Samavesha. During the function, about 75 to 100 persons forming into an unlawful assembly blocked the NH 13 and demanded to take a procession towards Kulashekhar Church. When the Police officers refused permission, they shouted slogans and pelted stones on the police in which some police men got injured and some vehicles damaged.

  • A case under Rioting along with criminal restraint has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 03/08/2006 at 1730 hrs near Market Kaikamba Mangalore, some unknown persons forming into an unlawful assembly stopped the Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-6537 and damaged the glass of the Bus. The damage caused is about Rs.5,000/.

  • A case under Rioting has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 03/08/2006 at 1945 near Alekala School, Ullal Mangalore Taluk, Haneef, Jakeer, Talath, Rafiq, Mubarak Iqbal and others forming into unlawful assembly abused Usman, Mayyadi and Sidiqin in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and wooden stick. They further gave life threat. Motive is financial issue.

  • A case under Criminal restraint and Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 03/08/2006 at 0920 hrs one Jayamma abused Sushila (35) in filthy language and assaulted by hands and chappals owing to civil dispute.
