On 28/08/2006 at 1800 hrs near Kannadikatte Padangady village Belthangady Taluk accused Hrishikesh Jain, Vithesh, Pradeep, Sunil Prashanth, Prashanth Gowda @ Mudhu, Sathish and Naveen Shetty with common intention forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapons abused one Vidyadhar Jain Bantwal (33) in filthy language and murdered him by assaulting with sword and wooden sticks owing to personal enmity.

On 27/08/2006 at 2200 hrs one Shekar criminally trespassed into the house of one Kamala (24) W/o Late Padmakara R/o Gandhinagara Kedila village Bantwal Taluk and abused her in filthy language and outraged her modesty by pulling her hand and also gave life threat to her.

No. KA-19-A-7749 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No KA-19-A-7368 from behind. As a result one Chandrashekar Shetty (42) R/o Kuttyappan compound Kodikal Mangalore Taluk driver of the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 28/08/2006 at 1240 hrs near Mannagudde Mangalore Taluk one Spencer Jude Miranda driver of Indica car bearing Reg. No KA-19-MA-405 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No KA-19-AC-123 from behind due which both the vehicles got damaged. No casualties reported

As a result one Hariprasad (27) R/o Pandith house Kotekar Someshwar village Mangalore Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

No KA-21-J-3879 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Akash K (6) R/o Kevala house Madappady village Sullia Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 27/08/2006 at 2200hrs near Kokkada Nidle village Belthangady Taluk one Vasu driver of car bearing Reg. No KA-35-MA-9 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which the car capsized. As a result Sharath (21) R/o Mysore, Puttaswamy, Raghu H K who were in the car and Vasu driver of the car sustained serious injuries.

On 28/08/2006 at 1130 hrs near Vidyanagar Bus Stop Panjimogaru village Mangalore Taluk one Raju Shetty driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-8566 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2804. As a result motorcycle rider Muttu K (56) R/o Panjimogaru village Mangalore Taluk sustained serious injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 28/08/2006 at 0500 hrs near the seashore Chithrapura Mangalore Taluk one unknown male dead body aged about 35 yrs to 40 yrs was found. This seems to be a case of drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 28/08/2006 at 0930 hrs one Venkappa Naik (70) R/o Kaloor Kepugude Irvailu village consumed poison in his house owing to health problem. He was admitted to Alvas hospital Moodabidre where he was declared dead while under treatment.
