- A case under Attempt to theft has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 18/08/2006 at 0230 hrs PSI Uppinangady PS while on duty found accused Khadhar A (43) R/o Near Adoor Check Post, Adoor village, Kasaragod and Mohammed Iqbal (25) S/o Aboobakkar P. M. R/o Gadiyar house Peramogeru Kedial village Bantwal Taluk attemting to steal cattle near Karaya village Puttur Taluk. The accused were arrested and the Mahindra tempo bearing Reg No OR-02-Q-1362 which used to transport the cattle was seized.

- A case of MV theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 13/08/2006 some unknown culprits committed theft of an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No KA-19-A-5719 belonging to one Hemanth Kumar (37) R/o Yeyyadi Mangalore, which was parked near Sulabha Souchalaya old Bus Stand Hampankatta Mangalore.
- A case under outraging the modesty of woman with criminal intimidation has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 17/08/2006 at 0605 hrs one Naveen R/o Kudroli Bengare Mangalore Taluk outraged the modesty of one Shailaja (25) D/o Devadas H R/o Gowri nivas Kudroli Bengre Mangalore by pulling her hand near her house. He also gave threat her life. Motive seems to be that Shailaja had earlier lodged a complaint against him in Panambur Police Station.

On 15/08/2006 at 2330 hrs near K V Shenoy Petrol Pump Puttur Town Puttur Taluk one Abdul Azeez rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No KL-14-E-675 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result he sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 15/08/2006 at 0745 hrs near St. Jerosa School Valencia Mangalore one Denny D’souza rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No KA-19-S-6438 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied the breaks suddenly due which motorcycle capsized. As a result the pillion rider Sunny Fernandes S/o Marshal Fernandes R/o Babugudde Attavar Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 18/08/2006 at 0920 hrs near Apperipade-Kashimatt Vittal Town one Abdul Razak driver of bus bearing Reg. No KA-19-9567 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against autorikshaw bearing Reg. No KA-19-B-4741 due which the auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Revathi (23) D/o Raghava R/o Darbe house Ukkuda Vittal Town and Mohandas Ukkuda who were in the auto rickshaw sustained serious injuries.

On 17/08/2006 at 1330 hrs near Kallagudde Mudushedde village Mangalore Taluk the accused Deepak Kumar, Yamuna, Thukarama and Keshava criminally restrained one Umesh J (24) S/o Guddappa R/o Kallagudde Mudushedde village Mangalore Taluk and abused in filthy language and also assaulted with stone owing to personnel grudge.
- A case of Hurt and Criminal Restraint has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 17/08/2006 at 0800 hrs one Ashok Kumar (27) S/o Mahalinga R/o Babanakatte Ananthady villge restrained one Ramanna Gowda (48) S/o Babu Gowda R/o Babanakatte Ananthady Village and abused him in filthy language and also assaulted by hand and umbrella owing to trivial issue.

On 16/08/2006 at 2030 hrs near Kodekallu Ujire village one Sudhakar criminally restrained one Annu Naik (32) S/o Dadu Naik and abused him in filthy language and also assaulted him with hand owing to trivial issue.

On 16/08/2006 at 2130 hrs accused Kunhimonu, Kasim and Jabbar all residents of Boliyar village Mangalore Taluk restrained one Yasin (34) S/o Abdul Rahiman R/o Boliyar village Mangalore Taluk near Boliyar and gave life threat owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Causing death due to negligence (sec 304 A) has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 17/08/2006 at 1000 hrs at Casia Garage Jeppu Mangalore one Jagadish Acharya who was working as welder got electrocuted due while working and died.

- A woman missing case has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 16/08/2006 at 2130 hrs Veena V Malya (42) W/o Vidyakara Malya R/o Pallamroad Kasargod and Vijaya V Malya (48) W/o Varadaraja Malya fell into the a water stream while crossing the Sirehole dam near Irde village Puttur Taluk and got washed away in flood water. They have not been traced so far.
