On 01/01/2008 at 1515 hrs accused one Paddu @ Padmanabha assaulted one Keshava Gowda (52) R/o Indira Nagara Kallamundkuru village Mangalore Taluk by hand and with soda bottle due which he got serious injuries and died on spot. The motive seems to be civil dispute between deceased and accused Keshava Gowda.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 01/01/2008 at 0045 hrs at Light House Hill Mangalore one unknown driver of Maruti Alto car bearing Reg. No. KL-14-E-8181 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-7377. As a result motorcycle rider one Shivadas (36) R/o Kadri Mangalore sustained simple injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 29/12/2007 at 1630 hrs in front of TMA Pai Hall at Mangalore one rider of Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-3901 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Manjunatha Bhandary (54) R/o Ballalbhag Mangalore and his daughter and caused them simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 31/12/2007 at 1930 hrs at Talapady Bantwal Town one Mohammed Anwar rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-556 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Thofiq and Mohammed Razak and caused them grievous injuries. As a result one Abdul Rasheed (22) R/o Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 01/01/2008 at 1430 hrs on SH at Kempugudde cross Bantwal one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Bharathi R. Shenoy (48) R/o Amtady village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 01/01/2008 at 0600 hrs at Puttur Town one Kirana rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-4637 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due motorcycle capsized. As a result one Chidananda (19) R/o Kadeshelya village Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 31/12/2007 at 1330 hrs at Bedrala Kemminje village Puttur Taluk one Raghava driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-6727 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Divakara Shetty (28) R/o Narimogaru village Puttur Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1130 hrs at Kumbhakodu Aletti village Sullia Taluk one Dinesha driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-5353 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result Mohammed Kunchi Haji K. U. (50) R/o Vidyanagara Kasaragod Kerala State who was traveling in the said jeep sustained simple injuries.

On 31/12/2007 at 2330 hrs at Kottara Mangalore accused Bhavani Shankara, Hariprasad and two other persons abused one Rithesh (22) R/o Nekkilagudde Derabail Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with iron rod and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 31/12/2007 at 2315 hrs at Kottara Mangalore accused Rithesh, Prasad, Hariprasad and Kiran abused one Bhavani Shankara (29) R/o Derebail Ashokanagara Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.
- A case under Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 29/12/2007 at 0245 hrs in front of Mahalingeshwara Temple at Bantwal accused 3 unknown persons assaulted one Sachin (21) R/o Paloor village Madikeri Taluk with Sword and wooden stick.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 01/01/2007 at 0800 hrs at Nadugllu Uthrambe Nalkoor village Sullia Taluk accused Chidhananda Gowda and other two unknown persons abused one Suryaprakash (32) R/o Kodibailu Nalkoor village Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him. The Motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. In between 31/12/2007 and 01/08/2007 at 0730 hrs one Deepak (46) committed suicide by jumping into the Gurupura river at Thotabengare Mangalore and died of drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 01/08/2008 at 1615 hrs one Ramachandra employee of KPCTL accidentally fell down while working at KPCTL office at Kavoor Mangalore. He was admitted to A.J. hospital Mangalore where declared dead while under treatment on the same day.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 31/12/2007 at 1700 hrs 0730 hrs one Purushothama (23) R/o Alakke Yedamangala village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to health problem.
