• A case of Burglary has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. In between 22/01/2008 and 23/01/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to Sapna Bangera R/o Paduperara village Mangalore by breaking the door lock and committed theft of a Fridge of worth Rs. 4,000/.

Ordinary Theft: 01

• A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On the intervening night of 24-25/01/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of Aluminum vessels belonging to one Kamalaksha (58) R/o Kapikadu Bejai Mangalore that was kept near his house. The stolen property is worth Rs. 4,254/.

• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 22/01/2008 in between 1600 hrs and 1800 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7464 belonging to one Premananda (36) R/o Shakthinagara Mangalore that was parked at parking place of Mangalore City Corporation at Lalbagh Mangalore.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 26/01/2008 at 0615 hrs on NH 17 at Jappinamogaru Mangalore one Devaraj driver of Maurti omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-01-M-7012 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an electric pole. As a result driver of Maruti omini Devaraj Sanjay, Pramod, Rajesh, Berendar, Sudhir, Ravi, Prasad Achar, who were traveling in the Maruti omni car sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further Munna, Arjun and Sathyendra Kumar who were traveling in the said Maruti omni sustained grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 25/01/2008 at 1700 hrs at Bejai Mangalore one Alwin driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-8540 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Sunil, Shashidhara and Nagaraja and caused them grievous injuries. Further auto rickshaw driver lost control over his vehicle and dashed against an iron pole. As a result auto rickshaw rider also sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 24/01/2008 at 1900 hrs at Deralakatte Mangalore one Vijaya rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-3555 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-6227 driven by one Ramesh Moolya (45) R/o Nithyanandanagara Belma village Mangalore Taluk. As a result riders and pillion riders of both motorcycles sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 25/01/2008 at 1030 hrs at Pacchanady cross Mangalore one Ashraf driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-697 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-210. As a result Vittal Shettigar (62) R/o Kavoor Mangalore driver of auto rickshaw and a passenger who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 24/01/2008 at 0030 hrs at Loretopadavu Bantwal Town one Mohana driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-1957 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due vehicle capsized. As a result one Shantharama Rai who was traveling in the said lorry sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 24/01/2008 at 1500 hrs in front of Govt. hospital at Sullia Town one Bhuvanendra rider of new Pulsar motorcycle drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shakunthaladevi (29) R/o Sullia Town a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due vehicle capsized. As a result one Bhuvanendra rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 23/01/2008 at 1130 hrs at Boodujalu Kokkada village Belthangady Taluk one unknown driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9513 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tempo traveler bearing Reg. No. KA-02-C-6640 driven by one Shivakumar M. (23) R/o Chennahalli Bangalore. As a result two pessanger who were traveling in the said Tempo traveler sustained simple injuries.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. One Sowmya M.S. (23) R/o Maruvathal Perabe village Puttur Taluk left her on 17/01/2008 at 1000 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
