  • A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/12/2007 in between 1945 hrs and 2130 hrs one Umesh Kulakarni R/o Bagalakote committed theft of gold ornaments and a mobile phone belonging to one Manjunatha H.C. (33) R/o Kaduru Chikkamagalore District that was kept in his room at Rama Lodge at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk. The value of stolen property is worth Rs. 35,000/.

  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 06/01/2008 at 0700 hrs accused one Chennayya Poojary R/o Kattinja Bondanthila village Mangalore Taluk abused his wife one Devaki (40) in filthy language and assaulted her by hand also gave life threat to her owing to family dispute.

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 07/01/2008 at 1200 hrs near Kalpane at Kulashekara Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-8278 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Pradeep a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Vijaya Clinic Hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day.

  • A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 07/01/2008 at 2200 hrs accused Deekayya Naika, Vishwaantha, Seena Naika, Dharmanna Naika, Sathisha and Rohini forming into an unlawful assembly at Nalkoor Mani Nalkoor village Bantwal Taluk and abused Thimappa Naika (80) R/o Nalkoor Mani Nalkoor village Bantwal Taluk and his wife Devaki in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and with sickle and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

  • A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 07/01/2008 at 2130 hrs at Nalkoor Mani Nalkoor village Bantwal Taluk accused Thimappa Naika, Dharnappa Naika and Purushothama Naika criminally trespassed into the land belonging to Vishwanatha Naika R/o Nalkoor Mani Nalkoor village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.
