• A case of Burglary has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 12/01/2008 at 200 hrs and 13/01/2008 at 0830 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Gajanana Store at Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk belonging to Goplakrishna N. Prabhu (60) R/o Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of cash 11,000/ and other documents all in worth Rs. 22,824/.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 12/01/2008 at 1515 hrs on NH-48 at Adyar Mangalore one unknown driver of Maruti Alto car bearing Reg. No. KA-04-MA-7748 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ithappa Poojary (44) R/o Adyar Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 1110 hrs at Biravu Karinje village Mangalore Taluk one Sandesh Shetty driver of Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-8688 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-1134. As a result one Chandran N.K. rider of the said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 1150 hrs at Natekallu cross Konaje village Mangalore one Erick Palan driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4789 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Deniyal who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 1930 hrs at Janatha Colony Idya village Mangalore Taluk one Sunil R/o Katipalla Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6599 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-G-37 driven by one Suresh B. As a result Sunil rider of the said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 2045 hrs accused Gangadhara, Chandarashekara and Ganesha abused one Mohammed Sharif (25) R/o Modubettu Kulai Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 1730 hrs accused one Ashraf criminally restrained one Aseef (24) R/o Kavalakatte Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk at Madva Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be that one Aseef had earlier lodged a complaint against accused person in Belthangady Police Station.

• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 1815 hrs on credible information PSI Panambur PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Fathima Church at Thaneerubavi Panambur Mangalore and seized 41 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs.1, 300/ by arresting one Sylvester Pinto (60) R/o near Fathima Church at Thaneerubavi Panambur Mangalore who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 12/01/2008 at 1600 hrs one Bhaskara (55) R/o Bejai Mangalore was fell down near his house due to heavy drunkenness. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 13/01/2008.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station where in one dead body of Sanjeeva Devadiga has been found at Kukkudelu Puttige village Mangalore Taluk. The said Sanjeeva Devadiga had been found missing since 09/01/2008 and a missing case was already registered in Moodabidre Police Station.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 0600 hrs one Sundara Shetty (50) R/o Suruli Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming some poison in his house owing to health problem.
