  • A case of Attempt to commit Theft has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 27/01/2008 in between 1022 hrs and 1210 hrs one Donatha Buthelo driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-6647 and Ganesh Cleaner of said lorry attempted to committed theft of Aluminum Sheets (40 Kgs) of worth Rs. 4,000/ from the premise of MCF Factory and were caught with property by the Security Staff of MCF Factory Panambur and handed over to Panambur Police Station along with complaint.

  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 26/01/2008 at 1215 hrs and 0300 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-L-1557 belonging to one Shashikara Moolya (31) R/o Nitte village Karkala Taluk that was parked at Kadalkere Marpadki village Mangalore Taluk.
  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 27/01/2008 at 2200 hrs and 28/01/2008 at 0700 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-17-M-6291 belonging to one Dr. Prashanth K. B. R/o Davanagere District that was parked at parking place of Hotel Mavanthoor at Ujire Town Belthangady Taluk. The car is worth Rs. 4,00,000/.

Crime against Women: 01

  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 26/01/2008 at 1800 hrs accused one Karunakara abused one Vanajakshi (38) R/o Nagathirtha Kuthkanja village Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted her with wooden stick. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore East Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1330 hrs at Balmatta Mangalore one unknown rider of scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-747 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against to the pedestrians Gopala (40) R/o Panambur Mangalore and Lambhodhara and caused them simple injuries. The scooter rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Ullal Police Station. On 27/01/2008 at 2100 hrs on NH 17 at Thokkuttu Ullal Mangalore one unknown driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KL-60-6386 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-529 from behind. As a result motorcycle rider Hemachanddra B. (49) R/o Ambikaroad Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk and Hemalatha and Vishak pillion riders of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The Maruti car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 26/01/2008 at 1445 hrs on NH-17 in front of Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple at Bappanadu village Mangalore Taluk one Gracy Putardo rider of Active Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2184 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-236. As a result motorcycle rider Prakash and Gracy Putardo rider of Active Honda scooter sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 27/01/2008 at 0845 hrs at Nejikaru Karaya village Belthangady Taluk one Prasanna driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-423 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8428. As a result auto rickshaw driver one Basheer (32) R/o Uppinangady Town Puttur Taluk sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 27/01/2008 at 1730 hrs at Uggabettu Bambila Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk one Ahammed Bhava driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. TN-50-D-3929 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a shop belonging to one Umesh Shetty (40). Further Tipper driver lost control over his vehicle and due vehicle capsized. As a result Tipper driver one Ahammed Bhava sustained simple injuries and the shop also got damaged. The damage is caused about Rs. 50,000/.
