• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the intervening night of 15-16/01/2008 some unknown culprits committed theft of a Scorpio car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MD-3121 belonging to one Niranjan Baliga (43) R/o near SDM College at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk that was parked in the premises of his house. The Scorpio car is worth Rs. 4,00,000/.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 13/01/2008 at 2000 hrs at Kambla cross Alake Mangalore one rider of Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-8806 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the scooter capsized. As a result rider of Kinetic Honda scooter and Sudhir Prabhu R/o Mannagudde Mangalore pillion rider of the said scooter sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 15/01/2008 at 1930 hrs on NH 17 at Naganakatte Thukkottu Mangalore one unknown rider of Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-9772 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one unknown female pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries. The Honda Activa scooter rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 15/01/2008 at 0930 hrs on NH 48 at Kalladka Golthamajalu village Bantwal Taluk one Charanraj rider of motorcycle drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Dinesha (24) R/o Bondala Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Station. On 16/01/2008 at 1945 hrs at Thingalady Kedambady village Puttur Taluk one driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5649 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-1211. As a result one Arun Kumar (28) rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 16/01/2008 at 1930 hrs accused Haneef, Saleem and Safan criminally restrained one Venkatesh (23) R/o Adrash Nagara Lalya village Belthangady Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Woman Police Station. On 16/01/2008 at 1120 hrs WPI Women PS on rounds arrested one Kamala (46) W/o Sridhara R/o Kana Surathkal who was soliciting for prostitution at public place near KS Rao road at Mangalore.
