Burglary: 01

• A case of Burglary has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 30/01/2008 in between 1100 hrs and 1600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Leena Misquith (44) R/o Anaratta Puthige village Mangalore Taluk by removing the roof tiles and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 1000/ all in worth Rs. 76,000/.

• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 27/01/2008 in between 1100 hrs and 1120 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-6290 belonging to one Arun Nithin D’ Souza (31) R/o Kalayi Amtady village Bantwal Taluk that was parked at parking place of Sanman Bar & Restaurant at Bantwal Town. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 35,000/.

Fatal: 02

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1730 hrs on NH-17 at Panambur Mangalore one Kariyappa driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3936 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vasanthi (35) R/o 3 rd Block Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk a pedestian and caused her serious injuries. Further Vasanthi was admitted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1945 hrs.

• A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. Where in one Akshatha has been declared dead while under treatment on 31/01/2008 at 0100 hrs. The said Akshatha was seriously injured by a bus in a road traffic accident on 22/01/2008 at 0910 hrs at Mithadka Aletti village Sullia Taluk and admitted to the A. J. Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has been already registered in Sullia Police Station.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 29/01/2008 at 2015 hrs at Bendoor Mangalore one Jayaraja driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MD-2526 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Activa Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-1566. As a result Activa Honda scooter rider one Rebello M. S. (54) R/o near Platinum Talkies at Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 09/01/2008 at 1600 hrs at Bikarnakatte Mangalore one Ganesha rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-3246 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Rajesh (30) R/o Shakthi Nagara Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 0930 hrs at Sannapadavu Konaje village Mangalore Taluk one Sharif driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5653 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ashwini (13) R/o Pajiru village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1645 hrs at Moorukaveri junction Mennabettu village Mangalore Taluk one Kariya driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9543 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6498. As a result motorcycle rider Hariprasad and Sharath Kumar (27) R/o Seemanthuru village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 29/01/2008 at 2100 hrs at Handelu Puthige village Mangalore Taluk one Ganesha Pai driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3723 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Tempo capsized. As a result Ramanatha Pai who was travelling in the said Tempo sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 0900 hrs in front of Ullal Post office at Ullal Mangalore one Musthafa rider of Activa Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-7947 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Nazir U. B. (34) R/o Basthipadpu Ullal Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 0830 hrs on NH-17 at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Dharma rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-4129 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Naveen Kishore (28) R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 1800 hrs accused Yogisha Prabhu and Rajesh Prabhu criminally restrained Shivaprasad (30) and his brother Shivananda R/o Lakshminagara Uppinangady Town and assaulted them by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1930 hrs accused Sundara Naik, Sesamma, Appi and Jaya Naik criminally restrained one Vishwanatha (21) R/o Yeliyooru Alangaru Maninalkuru village Bantwal Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand. The motive seems to be that one Vishwanatha had earlier lodged a complaint against accused persons in Bantwal Rural Police Station.

• A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty had been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 0730 hrs accused Anil Rai, Anusuya, Ananda, Chandrashekara Kamath, Premalatha Shetty, Rajeevi Rai, Ismail, Vahida Ismail and Madhava Gowda forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained Ravi Assistant Executive Engineer PWD Sullia Sub division Sullia Taluk and his staff and also abused them in filthy language while they are on duty on Puddottu- Bellare road at Peruvaje village Sullia Taluk.

• A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Woman Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1015 hrs WPI Women PS on rounds arrested one Sunitha (35) W/o Krishna R/o Kana Surathkal who was soliciting for prostitution at public place near Railway Station at Mangalore.
  
• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 30/01/2008 at 1710 hrs on credible information PSI Belthangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple at Nyathrpu village Belthangady Taluk and seized 32 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs.900/ by arresting one Prakash Rodrigo’s (21) R/o Kundalika Odinala village Belthangady Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 1015 one Kavitha (29) R/o near New Chithra Talkies at Mangalore attempted to commit suicide by hanging in her house owing to personal problem. Further Kavitha was admitted to A. J. Hospital at Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on 29/01/2008 at 1810 hrs.
