On 13/01/2008 at 1350 hrs on credible information CPI Belthangady Circle along with staff conducted raid at Kurathody Melanthabettu Belthangady Taluk and seized 110 Cans of rectified spirit (each 35 Lts.) and 500 arrack sachets (each 100 ML) that were kept illegal there. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 2,20,000/. However accused managed to escape from the scene.
In this connection, a case has been registered in Belthangady PS under Karnataka Excise Act.
