• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 23/01/2008 at 0545 hrs at Kayargoli junction Kurnadu village Bantwal Taluk one Sathyaprakash driver of bus bearing Reg. KA-19-AD-3335 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Rahiman (25) R/o Boliyaru Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 21/01/2008 at 1600 hrs at Vittal Town Bantwal Taluk one Dhananjaya rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7969 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Neela @ Neelammma R/o Narikombu village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 23/01/2008 at 1600 hrs accused one Arun criminally restrained one Sathisha (30) R/o Akashbhavana Mangalore near C V Nayak hall at Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be financial dispute between them.
  
• A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 2230 hrs accused Cypriyan D’Souza, Roshan, Colin and another one criminally trespassed into the premise of house belonging one Clement D’Souza (54) R/o Jeppina Mogeru Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and also assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 23/01/2008 at 1445 hrs accused Rathan Devadiga and Nithin Kumar criminally restrained one Siraj Hussian near Govt. Hospital at Bantwal Town and assaulted him by hand. They also assaulted Mohammad Nasif (16) R/o Kelaginapete Bantwal Town by hand who came to help Siraj owing to trivial.

• A case under Mischief by fire with intent to damage has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 21-22/01/2008 accused Girish and another one allegedly set fire to two motorcycles bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-4195 belonging to Prakash Kadri R/o Bondel Mangalore and another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-3284 belonging to Pakirappa. The Motive seems to be personal enmity between accused and Prakash. The damage caused is about 23,000/.
  
• A case under Causing death due to negligence (sec 304 A) along with grievous hurt has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 23/01/2008 at 1100 hrs at Kottara Derebailu Mangalore Chenappa, Dinesha, Purushothama sustained serious injuries when the mud wall where they were working accidentally collapsed over them due to the negligence of Shashiraj, Arun Cuvellho and Henry Menezes. Where in one Dinesh succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot.
