• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 23/01/2008 at 1500 hrs accused one Narayana abused his wife one Nalini (27) R/o Kalpada Kodiyala village Sullia Taluk in filthy language in her house and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 24/01/2008 at 1130 hrs on NH 17 at Kottara Mangalore one Ravi driver of bus bearing Reg. KA-20-B-2950 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1069, which was parked at roadside. As a result one Abdul Ali J. B. (26) R/o Gurupura Mulur village Mangalore Taluk driver of said tempo sustained him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 10/01/2008 at 0900 hrs at Yeyyadi Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-2209 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Prakasha R/o Shivanagara Pachanadi Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 1400 hrs on NH 48 at Naguri Mangalore one Toufique rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-1969 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tipper bearing Reg. No. KL-9-L-5888 driven by one Abdul Majeed (25) R/o Kotekar Mangalore Taluk. As a result motorcycle rider Toufique and pillion rider of said motorcycle Shivaprasad sustained simple injuries.

On 24/01/2008 at 0900 hrs at Nanthoor Mangalore accused one Anthony abused one Naveen (25) R/o Kudupu Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. In between 23/01/2008 at 0745 hrs one Sandeep R/o Bokkapattna Mangalore committed suicide by jumping into Gurupura river at Kulur Mangalore owing to health problem and died due to drowning.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 24/01/2008 in between 0800 hrs and 1030 hrs one Jaison (26) R/o Udane Shirady Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to health problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 24/01/2008 in between 0800 hrs and 1030 hrs one Umesh Gowda (38) R/o Nidle village Belthangady Taluk while cutting the wooden logs in the farm belonging to Krishnayya R/o Kevula Nidle village Belthnagady Taluk got serious injuries and he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
