  • A case under attempt to theft has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 0600 hrs accused Jijeo (19) R/o Shirady village Puttur Taluk and Sajan (18) R/o Kutrupady village Puttur Taluk attempted to comitt theft of 'Kanike Hundi' belonging to Saint Thomas Charch at Nellyadi Arla Konalu village Puttur Taluk. Meanwhile they were caught red hand by the public and handed over to the Police.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 0950 hrs near Dhanyavad Hotel at Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-6366 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ramachandra (72) R/o Jeppu Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 0810 hrs at Alake Mangalore one rider of scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-8945 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chandrashekara (47) R/o Barke Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 1800 hrs at Kapikad Bejai Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3484 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-51-M-9899 driven by one Praveen Kumar R/o Bejai Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 1245 hrs at Padav Mangalore one driver of Santro car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-9341 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Prajwal (12) a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

  • A case under Hurt along Wrongful confinement has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 2030 hrs accused 4 unknown persons wrongfully confines one Santhosh Kumar (33) R/o Shirthady village Mangalore Taluk near his house and assaulted him with iron rod owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 0930 hrs on credible information PSI (Crime) Ullal PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Chembugudde Permannur village Mangalore Taluk and seized 48 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs.1, 600/ by arresting one Narayana Poojary (45) R/o Kairangala village Bantwal Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 1500 hrs on credible information PSI (Crime) Ullal PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Somanatha Uliya Munoor village Mangalore Taluk and seized illegal liquor (20 Lts) by arresting Ivan D’Souza (36) R/o Somanatha Uliya Munoor village Mangalore Taluk who was selling these liquor illegally there.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 1230 hrs one Dharmanna (19) R/o Santhigudde Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk accidentally fell down from the coconut tree while removing coconuts near his house and got seriously injured. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 1030 hrs one Krishna Naik (55) R/o Doddadka Ariyapu village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to financial issue.
