• A case of Burglary has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 06/01/2008 in between 1130 hrs and 1600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Raviprakash (28) R/o Thenkabellur village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments, a Nokia Digital Camera, cash Rs. 2,500/ and other house hold articles all in worth Rs. 22,000/.
  
• A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 05-06/01/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Godown belonging to C.A. Bank at Panaje village Puttur Taluk by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of 352.400 Kgs arecanut.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 06/01/2008 at 1000 hrs on NH 17 at Gokulanagara Kulai village Mangalore one Shrinivas Gowda driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9079 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-17. As a result one Andrew D’Mello (58) R/o Shivagiri Hosabettu Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 06/01/2008 at 1030 hrs at Volapete Ullal village Mangalore Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-3557 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Activa Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-2015. As a result Mohammed Rafique rider of said motorcycle and Muneer (27) R/o Yelyyarupadavu Arekala village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 06/01/2008 at 1430 hrs accused Dharnappa Poojary, Dayananda Shetty, Chandu and Dharnappa Pooajry Mudimara criminally restrained one Jerom D’Souza (58) R/o Biliyur Sarapady village Bantwal Taluk at Kuntalpalke Maninalkooru village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 05/01/2007 at 2130 hrs accused one Raghurama Mayya, Dharanedra Jain, Prabhakara Shetty and Malan D’Souza criminally restrained one Dayananda Shetty (40) R/o Devasya Muduru village Bantwal Taluk at Balayur Maninalkoor village Bantwal Town and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick. They also assaulted Dharnappa Poojary with wooden stick who came to help one Dayananda Shetty owing to financial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 06/01/2008 at 0200 hrs accused Kishore Kumar criminally restraint one Ganesh (25) R/o Kumdelu Pudu village Bantwal Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
