Burglary: 01

• A case of Burglary has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 19/01/2008 at 2400 hrs and 20/01/2008 at 0530 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Alies Kotian (33) R/o Chokkabettu Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk by breaking back door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and a Wrist watch all in worth Rs. 1,10,000/.

Motor Vehicle Theft:01

• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 20/01/2008 in between 1930 and 2000 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-4193 belonging to one Binukumar S. (31) R/o Kiriyady Ujire village Belthangady Taluk that was parked in the premise of Sri Janardhana Swami Temple at Ujere village Belthangady Taluk. The motorcycle is worth Rs.20,000 /.

• A case under Rioting, House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Mischief of causing damage has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 20/01/2008 at 0900 hrs accused Elias, Badru, Aziz, Rahamath, Lathief, Farooq and other persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Fathima B. (35) W/o Umarabba R/o Basthipadpu Ullal Mangalore and abused her in filthy language and damaged the house by breaking the wall and roof tiles owing to civil dispute. The damage is caused about Rs. 50,000/.
  
• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 20/01/2008 at 0850 hrs accused one Aithappa Naik abused one Seetha M. (26) R/o Murungi Balnadu village Puttur Taluk near her house in filthy language and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

Fatal: 02

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 20/01/2008 at 1900 hrs on NH-13 Thenkayedapadavu village Mangalore Taluk one Mubharak rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-0021 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Samaraja (21) a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result Nizamuddin R/o Addur village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries. Further he was admitted to SCS hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 20/01/2008 at 2300 hrs.
  
• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 21/01/2008 at 0530 hrs on NH-48 Paravarakutia Shirady village Puttur Taluk one Rajesh driver of Swaraj Mazda Van bearing Reg. No. KA-09-A-9630 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Swaraj Mazda Van capsized. As a result Jayamma (57) R/o K. R. Puram Hassan District, Ravi (26) R/o Mysore District, Chikkamalle Gowda and other passengers who were traveling in the said Van sustained serious injuries. Further Jayamma succumbed to her injuries while on the way to hospital. The driver of van escaped from the place leaving his vehicle.

Non-Fatal: 02

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 20/01/2008 at 0710 hrs at Bunts Hostel Mangalore one driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6662 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-1430. As a result one Dr. Keshava Bhat E. (68) R/o Balmatta Mangalore driver of a car sustained simple injuries and the car also got damaged.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1645 hrs at Kalladpu Kumpadavu village Mangalore Taluk one Amarnatha Shetty driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-5836 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Mahabala Naik (34) and Udaya Naik (18) who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

Attempt to Murder: 01

• A case under Hurt along with Attempt to murder has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 2000 hrs at Kambettu Bondanthila village Mangalore Taluk accused Pushaparaj and Jeevan attempted to kill Parikshith (19) R/o Permanki Ulaibettu village Mangalore Taluk and Kishore by assaulting them with knife. The motive seems to be financial dispute.

• A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Mischief of causing damage, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 20/01/2008 at 2315 hrs accused Sadiq, Ashraf, Majeed, Siddiq and Imthiyaz forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapons and abused one Sathisha (22) R/o Kalayi Ammunje village Bantwal Taluk near his house in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick. They also assaulted Venugopala, Manoj and Vivek with stone who came to help Sathisha and damaged the house by pelting stone and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 20/01/2008 at 2145 hrs at Kalayi Ammunje village Bantwal Taluk accused Venugopal, Sathisha, Manjunatha, Shekara and Babu forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one Abdul Hakeem (26) R/o Malluru village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 18/01/2008 at 2100 hrs accused Nagappa Gowda and Shafi abused one Balappa A.B. (40) R/o Alankaru village Puttur Taluk near his house in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 20/01/2008 in between 1200 hrs and 1400 hrs one Uma @ Umavathi (25) W/o Ravi @ Sundara Poojary R/o Shivanagara Moodushedde Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to personal problem.
