On the intervening night of 11-12/01/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into small shed at Mandottu Indabetttu village Belthangady Taluk belonging to one Love Joy (59) R/o Balmatta Mangalore and committed theft of 14 Rubber Sheets. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 24,000/.

On 11/01/2007 at 1830 hrs at Uppinagady Town Puttur Taluk accused one Ganesh Pai (50) R/o Uppinangady misbehaved with one Kalavathi H. Bhat (40) R/o Uppinagady Town Puttur Taluk by pulling her and thereby outraged her modesty.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 12/01/2008 at 1315 hrs on NH 48 at Valachil Arkula village Mangalore Taluk one Hendry D’Cunha rider of Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6342 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-9999 driven by one Hydar. As a result Kinetic Honda scooter rider Hendry D’Cunha and Prakash D’Cunha pillion rider of said Kinetic Honda scooter sustained serious injuries. Futher both were succumbed to their injuries while on the way to hospital.

On 12/01/2008 at 1420 hrs on Shirthady-Moodabidre road at Shirthady village Mangalore Taluk one William rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-7812 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-Q-7139. As a result Suresha (42) R/o Sanooru village Karkala Taluk Udupi District rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-Q-7139 sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 11/01/2008 at 1740 hrs near Pilikula Nisargadhama at Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk one Manoranjan Sheety rider of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-2058 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result one Rajiva Kamble pillion rider of the said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 12/01/2008 at 0330 hrs on NH-17 at Adamkudru Jappinamogeru village Mangalore Taluk one Hamsa driver of Innova car bearing Reg. No. KL-46-A-3543 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result Srijith (29) R/o Kerala State, Prashanth, Sijin, Vijayan, Sheela Vijayan and Nainesh who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident as been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 11/01/2008 at 2230 hrs at Uggabettu Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk one Rajashekara driver of Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-4599 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an electric pole due which 4 electric poles got damaged. Further Tanker driver lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result Rajashekara Tanker driver and Chethan Kumar cleaner of the said Tanker sustained simple injuries. The damage is caused about Rs. 40,000/.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. One Sanjeeva Devadiga (52) R/o Gowrikere Marpady village Mangalore Taluk left his house on 09/01/2008 at 1100 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
