Fatal: 02

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1930 hrs at Kalpane Kulashekara Mangalore one Umesh rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-6738 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one unknown male pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day 2000 hrs.
  
• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station where in one Hilda D’ Souza (72) R/o Bangrakulur Kulur Mangalore declared dead while under treatment on 19/01/2008 at 1930 hrs. The said Hilda D’Souza was seriously injured by motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 15/01/2008 at 1930 hrs at Naganakatte Permannur village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to Fr. Muller hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Ullal Police Station.

Non-Fatal: 02

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1200 hrs at Kallapu Permannur village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-02-T-5286 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-1249. As a result motorcycle Kitabulla (30) R/o Lucknow Uttar Pradesh State and Hariram pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 18/01/2008 at 1930 hrs near Aruna Talkies at Puttur Town one Manohara M. rider of motorcycle KA-21-J-5889 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Narayana Saliyan (55) R/o Ariyapu village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case under Rioting, Mischief of causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 18/01/2008 at 2200 hrs accused Sathish Karkera, Nagesha Poojary, Dinesha, Suresha and 25 others persons forming into an unlawful assembly and damaged the house belonging to one Rajamma R/o Umiukku Panapila village Mangalore Taluk and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 17/01/2008 at 1535 hrs accused Bhavani Shankra, Rithesh and Bharathesh criminally restrained an auto rickshaw near Krishna Bhavana Circle at Mangalore and abused one Nagaraj (30) R/o Pumpwell Mangalore driver of said auto rickshaw in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1730 hrs accused Soukath Ali and Mohammed @ Mammu came in a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-4265 and criminally restrained one Haneef (27) R/o Manjanady village Mangalore Taluk at Derlakatte Belma village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 2130 hrs accused Vishwa and other two persons criminally restrained Mohammed Thousif (20) R/o Farangipete Pudu village Bantwal Taluk and Mohammed Althaf near their house and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them by hand owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Hurt has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1200 hrs at Punkedottu Nada village Belthangady Taluk accused one Ladro D’Souza assaulted one Inas D’Souza R/o Punkedottu Nada village Belthangady Taluk with iron rod. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

Unnatural Death Report: 06

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1230 hrs one dead body of Harshavardhana (18) was found at near breakwater at Panambur Mangalore. The death seems to be due drowning.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 0940 hrs one Jaganatha Amin (52) accidentally fell down from the coconut tree while removing coconuts and got seriously injured and scummbed to his injuires while on the way to hospital.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 19/12/2007 one Sudha (17) R/o Mallandoru Chikkamagalore district sustained serious burn injuries while trying to light kerosene stove in his house belonging to one Pius D’Souza R/o Kuntikana Bejai Mangalore. She was admitted to Fr. Muller hospital Mangalore and there while under treatment she succumbed her injuries on 18/01/2008 at 1345 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1430 hrs one Sagara (10) R/o Hanapura Badami Taluk Bagalkota District accidentally slipped into the pond at Kowdur Kandavara village Mangalore Taluk and died due to drowning.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 18/01/2008 at 1800 hrs and 19/01/2008 at 1030 hrs one Krishna (31) R/o Mallarmadi Dharmastala village Belthangady village committed suicide by hanging near house owing to personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 19/01/2008 at 1200 hrs one dead body of Vinoda (28) R/o Bollaje Hosangady village Belthangady Taluk was found in a pond near her house. Cause of death is still to be ascertained drowning.
