• A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On the intervening night of 03-04/01/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry gain into the house belonging to one Balnch D’ Souza (24) R/o Shivabhag Kadri Mangalore by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of a Laptop and a Sony MP3 Player all in worth Rs. 23,000/.

Ordinary Theft: 01

• A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 31/12/2007 at 1140 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Laptop and other documents belonging to one Karthik Nambiyar R/o Bejai Mangalore, which was kept inside the car bearing Reg. No. KA-05-ME-9790 that was parked near Railway Station at Mangalore. The worth of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

• A case under Cruelty by Husband and his relatives has been registered in Ullal Police Station on the complaint of one Julekha (42) W/o Abbas R/o Kodi Ullal Mangalore In the complaint it is alleged that accused Abbas (husband) and his relatives Hasan, Lathif, Khadar, Yusuf, Ahammed, Riyaz, Jainab and Ismail gave physical and mental harassment to Julekha. The motive seems to be family dispute.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1530 hrs near Central Market at Mangalore one unknown Toyota car driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Babu (27) R/o Kannur District Kerala State a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 1445 hrs on NH-17 at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Mohammed driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-1052 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Rohinatha (30) R/o Uli village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 03/01/2008 at 1800 hrs accused two unknown persons stopped a mini lorry bearing Reg. No. KA- 19-A-9991 at Bajal Mangalore and abused inmates Abdul Rahiman (23) R/o Manjanady village Mangalore Taluk and Majid in filthy language and assaulted them by hand also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 0730 hrs accused Sameer, Haneef and Siddique criminally restrained one Kishore (20) R/o Periyadka Savanoor village Puttur Taluk near Maanthur school at Savanoor village Puttur Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with sword and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him. The Motive seems to be previous enmity between them.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 0745 hrs at Maanthuru Savanoor village Puttur Taluk accused Sameer, Haneef and Siddique assaulted one Beltha Mugera (53) R/o Savanoor village Puttur Taluk with sword and with wooden stick. The motive seems to be previous enmity between them.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 1600 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 55 yrs was found near KSRTC bus stand at Mangalore. The death seems to be due to some illness.
