• A case under Criminal restraint along with Outraging the modesty of woman has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 17/01/2008 at 1730 hrs one Nagaveni (13) D/o Kunhi Mugera R/o Kurunja Shibaje village Belthangady Taluk was on her way from school to home by walk. At that time accused one Ramanna Gowda R/o Kurunja Shibaje village Belthangady Taluk criminally restrained her and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 18/01/2008 at 1030 hrs on NH 17 at Kuntikana Mangalore one driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. CNG-4069 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against compound wall. As a result compound wall got damaged. No causalities reported.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 18/01/2008 at 1030 hrs at Shivabhag Kadri Mangalore one rider of Active Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-932 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Saji Kumar R/o Kerala State a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 17/01/2008 at 1730 hrs on NH 48 at Pudu village Bantwal Taluk one Harish Madivala driver of car bearing Reg. No. CTE-3156 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-06-F-316. Further car driver lost control over his vehicle and dashed against compound wall. As a result Azaria (18) R/o Ullal Mangalore, Aliyamma, Saleem and Moosa Kunhi who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 18/01/2008 at 1600 hrs at Kalinje Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk one Ashok driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-7577 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result one Rosario (38) R/o Vittalmudnoor village Bantwal Taluk, Riyaz, Balkrishana, Ratheesh and 6 to 7 other passengers who were traveling in the said bus sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 17/01/2008 at 1940 hrs at Kalinje Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk one Ramachandra rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. MEX-930 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tipper bearing Reg. No. KL-02-R-6923 from behind which was parked at roadside. As a result motorcycle rider one Ramachandra Naik sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 18/01/2008 at 1815 hrs at Darbe Parladka Puttur Town one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3881 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Venkappa K. (46) R/o Saletthoor village Bantwal Taluk and Hemavathi who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 18/01/2008 at 2030 hrs near Railway Bridge at Pudu village Bantwal Taluk accused one Nafeel abused one Althaf (18) R/o Ammemarpudu village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

On 18/01/2008 at 0900 hrs WASI Women PS on rounds arrested one Yashoda (30) W/o Rajesh R/o Veeranagara Padil Mangalore who was soliciting for prostitution at public place near Service bus stand at Mangalore.

• A case of Man missing has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. One Balakrishna Gowda (36) R/o Naru Chikkamudnoor village Puttur Taluk left his house on 15/01/2008 at 1700 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
