Motor Vehicle Theft: 01

• A case of MV theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 06/01/2008 in between 1915 hrs and 2030 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-5099 belonging to one Prasanna V. R/o Mangalore that was parked in front of Pubbas shop at Lalbhag Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 36,000/.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 09/01/2008 at 1230 hrs accused one Kushalappa Gowda criminally restrained Nithyalatha (35) and her husband Gopalakrishna R/o Kuthyady Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk near their house and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick also gave life threat to them owing to civil dispute.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station where in one Umesh Uchil (54) R/o Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 09/01/2008 at 0820 hrs. The said Umesh Uchil was sustained seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 21/11/2007 at 1800 hrs on NH-17 near V.T. road Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to City Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Ullal Police Station.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 05/01/2008 at 1430 hrs one Mohammed Jubair driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-4302 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and dashed to the road divider at Alayigudde Mulooru village Mangalore Taluk. As a result Bifathima (42) R/o Adduru village Mangalore Taluk, Alimamma and Nebisa who were traveling in the said jeep sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 08/01/2008 at 1455 hrs on NH-17 at Padupanambur village Mangalore Taluk one Damodhara driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5519 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-3353 driven by one Santhosh Shettigara (28) R/o Andaru village Karkala Taluk Udupi District. As a result the bus got damaged. No casualties reported.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 09/01/2008 at 1145 hrs at Philomina Nagara Puttur Town one Jayaraj rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-5221 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-9406. As a result Ahammed K.K. scooter rider and Sathyanarayana Prasad (54) R/o Madnoor village Puttur Taluk pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 09/01/2008 at 0630 hrs at Linet junction Puttur Town one Gopalakrishna rider of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-B-5891 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result one Archana (30) R/o Bannur village Puttur Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
  


• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 09/01/2008 at 1310 hrs at Puduvettu cross Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk one Jayarama Gowda driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-13-M-1606 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-1855. As a result Raju C.T. rider said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 2015 hrs near Bastibailu busstand Vamadapadvu village Belthangady Taluk one Guruprasad rider of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-7201 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ramesh a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 08/01/2008 at 2300 hrs near Padmamba complex at Sullia Town accused one Shesha Kumar and Suresh assaulted one Deviprasad (20) R/o Kanthamangala Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk by hand and with bottle owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Seizure of Stolen property along with Ordinary Theft has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 09/01/2008 at 1200 hrs PSI Crime Kavoor PS along with staff conducted raid on a shop belonging to one Abdul Razak (40) R/o Kuluru Padukodi village Mangalore Taluk at Guddeyangadi Padukodi village Mangalore Taluk and seized water pump (03), MS pipes (19), iron materials (03) and MS saft (01) worth Rs 10,000/ by arresting owner of the said shop one Abdul Razak. It is learnt that the above parts have been stolen somewhere else.
