• A case of Outraging the modesty of women, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 29/01/2008 at 900 hrs accused one Jockim Cerrao (35) R/o Paraneeru Kudripadavu Kallamundukuru village Mangalore Taluk outraged modesty of one Anitha Cerrao (35) W/o Cluster Cerrao R/o Paraneeru Kudripadavu Kallamundukuru village Mangalore Taluk by pulling her hand and abused her in filthy language near her house and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 29/01/2008 at 1815 hrs at Koiyuru cross Laila village Belthangady Taluk one Abdulla driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-05-AA-523 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bajaj M80 scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-2473. Further Tanker driver lost control over his vehicle and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-485. As a result Abdul Azeez rider of Bajaj M80 scooter, Vasantha Gowda (22) R/o Kanyady village Belthangady Taluk, Aruna, Damodhara and Dinesha who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 1315 hrs at Sankesha Koila village Puttur Taluk one Balakrisha Gowda driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9826 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Koosappa A. (35) R/o Peraje village Bantwal Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 29/01/2008 at 2030 hrs at Adkar Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk one Naveen driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8624 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Tractor bearing Reg. No. KA-21-T-63. As a result Balanethra (37) R/o Adkar Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk, Shivaprasad and Harisha who were traveling in the said Tractor sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 1730 hrs at Kalleri Thaneerupantha village Belthangady Taluk accused Shivananda and Shivaprasad assaulted one Yogish Prabhu (36) R/o Ramanagara Puttur Town with iron rod owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 26/01/2008 at 1830 hrs and 29/01/2008 at 0830 hrs one Krisha Gowda (24) R/o Kadapallaguri Badagamijaru village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping in to the well near his house owing to personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 29/01/2008 in between at 1000 hrs and 1630 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 70 yrs was found near Primacy factory at Baikampady Mangalore. It seems to be a case of suicide by consuming poison.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. One Madhumathi (17) R/o Peruvalu Badagakajekaru village Bantwal Taluk who left her house on 29/01/2008 at 0830 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
