Motor Vehicle Theft: 02

• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 27/01/2008 in between 1430 hrs and 2000 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Passion motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-2676 belonging to one Shailesh Kumar (36) R/o Perla Ujire village Belthangady Taluk that was parked in front of Raghavendra Electricals at Ujire village Belthangady Taluk. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 20,000/.
  
• A case of MV Theft has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 22/01/2008 in between 1845 hrs and 1930 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-516 belonging to one Ravi Kumar (39) R/o Kanakamajalu village Sullia Taluk that was parked at Balemakki Sullia Town. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 22,000/.

• A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, Criminal intimidation along with Outrage modesty of women has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 27/01/2008 at 1930 hrs accused Ramesh, Ananda and other two persons criminally trespassed into the land belonging to Yeliyamma (36) R/o Kalmaja village Belthangady Taluk and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her by hand and also tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand. They also assaulted Thangamma by hand who came to help Yeliyamma and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

Fatal: 01

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 1600 hrs on NH-17 at Pavanje village Mangalore Taluk one Arunkumar driver of Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-ME-5445 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vittala Amin (55) a pedestian and caused him serious injuries. Further Vittala Amin succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 0845 hrs at Bejai Mangalore one Manohara Rai driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MD-1987 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ibrahim (40) R/o Moodupadukodi village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 1330 hrs in front of Ganeshpura Temple at Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk one Sathisha rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-4532 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vasu Moolya B. (50) R/o Soorinje village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 26/01/2008 at 1330 hrs at Maravoor Mangalore one Nagayya Heremata rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-8349 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Kishore Sapaliga (49) R/o Kenjaru village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 1630 hrs at Mannasanka Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk one Raju P. M. driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4335 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-34-M-4586 driven by one Somashekara Gowda (26) R/o Sanganakallu village Bellary District. As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported.

• A case under Hurt has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 28/01/2008 at 0725 hrs near Sate Bank at Mangalore accused driver and conductor of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-5059 assaulted driver of another bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-3001 by hand. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 27/01/2008 at 1930 hrs accused Yeliyamma and Thangamma Abhram criminally retained one Lakshmi (24) R/o Vidyanagara Kalmaja village Belthangady Taluk near her house and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her by hand. They also assaulted Shashikala by hand who came to help Lakshmi and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.
  
• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 27/01/2008 at 1430 hrs accused one Radhakrishna R/o Shanthigodu village Puttur Taluk abused one Mudara (45) R/o Pajirody Shanthigodu village Puttur Taluk in filthy language near his house and also assaulted him with stone. The motive seems to be trivial issue.
  
• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 27/01/2008 at 1630 hrs accused one Mudara R/o Pajirody Shanthigodu village Puttur Taluk abused one Radhakrishna (19) R/o Olady Shanthigodu village Puttur Taluk in filthy language near his house and also assaulted him with stone. The motive seems to be trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 24/01/2008 at 0930 one Prakash D’ Souza (26) R/o Mooduperar village Mangalore Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison at Kuloor Padukodi village Mangalore Taluk owing to personal problem. Further Prakash D’ Souza was admitted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 28/01/2008 at 0230 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 1500 hrs one Madhukara (35) R/o Alethoor Bantwal Town accidentally fell down from tree while cutting the branches of the tree and got seriously injured. Further he was admitted to Fr. Muller hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 27/01/2008 at 2320 hrs.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Boy missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. One Lawrence Cyril Lobo (15) R/o Basavana Gudi Kukkala village Belthangady Taluk who went to School near his house on 24/01/2008 at 0900 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
