• A case of Burglary has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 10/01/2008 and 14/01/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Abdul Basheer R/o Adkaru Jalsuru village Sullia Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of a Codeless phone, silver ornaments and other household articles all in worth Rs. 15,000/.

• A case under Cheating along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station where in it is alleged that accused one Madhava (21) R/o Ajjinadka Dolpady village Puttur Taluk had sexual intimacy with one Eighteen year old girl of Ajjinadka Dolpady village Puttur Taluk by promising to marry her. There upon he refused to marry her and cheated her and also gave life threat to her.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 1600 hrs at Kakeyna Laila village Belthangady Taluk one unknown driver of Matador vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-5584 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-6568. As a result motorcycle rider and Srinivasa (30) R/o Kaliya village Belthangady Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The Matador vehicle driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Sullia Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 0910 hrs at Mithadka Aletti village Sullia Taluk one Akshatha passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-7788 while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which she fell down from the bus and sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 1630 hrs accused Deepak M. B, Vinaya, Kanti @ Sharif and others forming into an unlawful assembly in the premises of KVG College Sullia Town and abused Avinash (21) R/o Sakleshpura Taluk Hassan District, Hariprasad and Ajith in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 21/01/2008 at 0815 hrs accused Vishwanatha Gowda assaulted one Yathish Kumar (32) R/o Kukkamajalu Kodiyala village Sullia Taluk with knife near his house and also gave life threat to him. The Motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 1730 hrs at Kurunjibhag Sullia Town accused Avinash, Hariprasad, Anandamoorthi, Ajith and others abused Ayantha K. (19) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State and Ashwath in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick and with stone and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 21/01/2008 at 0730 hrs at Bailangady Kaniyuru village Puttur Taluk accused one Vishwanatha Gowda (62) abused one Abdul Khadar (60) R/o Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with sickle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 04

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 21/01/2008 in between 2045 hrs and 2130 hrs one Umesha Gowda (30) R/o Paleppady Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison near his house owing to financial problem. Further Umesha Gowda was admitted to Govt. hospital at Sullia where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 2310 hrs.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 22/01/2008 in between 0830 hrs and 1600 hrs one Vinayachandra (23) R/o Chathrappady Guthigaru village Sullia Taluk accidentally slipped into the Urumbi river at Guthigaru village Sullia Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 21/01/2008 in between 0900 hrs and 1700 hrs one Dharmapala (55) R/o Patthelu Yadamangala village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to financial problem.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 22/01/2008 at 1400 hrs one Chennappa Gowda (45) R/o Mulimajalu Kadaba village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Boy missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. one Punith Kumar (18) R/o Shivajinagara Ujire village Belthangady Taluk went to Karavara on 16/01/2008 at 1030 hrs and did not return to his room there after. He has been found missing since then.
