  • A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 02/01/2008 at 1900 hrs and 03/01/2008 at 0800 hrs unknown culprits gained entry into the Thumbe B. A. Hospital and Training Centre building at Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk and committed theft of Iron rods. The total worth of stolen property is worth Rs. 4,500/.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 03/01/2008 at 1130 hrs at Kotekani junction Daddalakadu Mangalore one Dr. Swapna driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-5896 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a new motorcycle. As a result one Krishna Gowda (40) R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 03/01/2008 at 1600 hrs at Suralpady Badagulipady village Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2122 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chandrakanthi (16) R/o. Mooduperara village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 29/12/2007 at 2030 hrs at Perla Ujire village Belthangady Taluk one Sandeep rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-6036 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due to which motorcycle capsized. As a result one Sandeep rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 03/01/2008 at 1230 hrs on NH-48 at B. C. road Bantwal Town one rider of Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-2399 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-8586. As a result auto rickshaw driver Ubedulla, Usman (21) R/o Bantwal Town, Fayaz and Thapin Asma Abdul Khader who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 30/12/2007 at 2330 hrs at Halekote Belthangady Town one driver of Pickup vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-283 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Balayya (68) R/o Pilathabettu village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

  • A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 03/01/2008 at 1730 hrs accused Santhosh criminally restrained one Sunil D’Souza (35) R/o Boluvaru Puttur Taluk at Savanoor Town Puttur Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under NDPS Act has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 03/01/2008 at 1530 hrs near Water Tank at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk on credible information ASP Panambur, DySP Surathkal PS along with staff intercepted a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-14-H-8624 and seized 850 gm Ganja by arresting one Ansar @ Ansar Ahammed (37) R/o Honnalli Taluk Shivamoga District. The motorcycle is also seized. The total worth of seized property is 35,000/.
  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 03/01/2008 at 2230 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff intercepted a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-7307 at Kariyamoole Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk and seized 16 Boxes of liquor worth Rs. 21,696/ from the jeep, which was being transported illegally. The said jeep has also been seized. The total value of the seized property including the jeep is around Rs. 1, 21,696/.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 19/12/2007 at 1200 hrs one Babu Gowda (32) R/o Marthady Kalanja village Belthangady Taluk accidentally fell down from the coconut tree while removing coconuts and got seriously injured. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 03/01/2008 at 1700 hrs.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 04/01/2008 at 0630 hrs one Mathais D’Kunha (76) R/o Dasakodi Balthila village Bantwal Taluk accidentally slipped into a well while walking near his house and died due to drowning.
