- A case of Burglary has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 2000 hrs of 08/10/2009 and 0900 hrs of 09/10/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the room belonging to Global Telecom Ltd Company by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of 62 batteries. Total value of the stolen property yet to be estimated.

- A case under Attempt to commit theft has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the intervening night of 08-09/10/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the ATM belonging to the Corporation Bank at Boluvaru Puttur Town by breaking the ATM machine and attempted to committed theft.

- A case under M.V. Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 1400 hrs and 1630 hrs of 07/10/2009 some unknown culprits committed a theft of TVS motorcycle bearing Reg. No. MP-04-NN-4382 belonging to one Shushil Kishnani (22) R/o Kaprigudde Mangalore that was parked near KMC building LHS road Mangalore. The worth of TVS motorcycle is Rs. 20,000/.

Accused Mohammad Iqbal, Kasim and Haris criminally restrained one Shashikala (18) R/o Chelume Alathaya village Puttur Taluk at Thirle Konalu village Putur Taluk and outrged her modesty by pulling her hand abused her referring to her caste and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

No. KA-19-W-7516 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MB-0707 driven by Ifthikar R/o Mukkacheri Ullal village Mangalore Taluk. As a result car got damaged and motorcycle rider Sarfuddin sustained simple injuries.

On 09/10/2009 at 1130 hrs on NH 17 near Manjushree textiles Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Amith driver of Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3952 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Jayanthi (40) R/o Kodikere Kulai village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 08/10/2009 at 2000 hrs at Mukve Narimogru village Puttur Taluk one driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-P-7008 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8713 driven by Majeed R/o Mukve Narimogru village Puttur Taluk due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Subbalaxmi who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

On 08/10/2009 at 2045 hrs accused Sathya, Sanil, Leela and Saumya @ Sajini abused one Fasi (41) R/o Kuntinadka Kutrupadi village Puttur Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
