- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Cruelty by husband along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kadaba Police Station on the complaint of one Pushpa (28) W/o Fasi R/o Kuntinadka Kutrupadi village Puttur Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Fasi criminally restrained and abused one Pushpa in filthy language and gave physical and mental harassment to her and also gave life threat to her owing to family dispute.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 24/10/2009 at 1930 hrs at Ganadapadpu Bantwal Mooda village Bantwal Taluk one Santhosh rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-647 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided one Chandrahasa Poojary R/o Poonjarakodi Bantwal Mooda village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Colaco Hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 25/10/2009 at 2000 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 25/10/2009 at 1545 hrs at Halekote Belthangdy Town one driver of Ambassador Car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-236 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Kinetic scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-3499 from behind. As a result scooter rider one Vincent Pais R/o C.V.S Hall road Belthangady Town and pillion rider Jecintha sustained simple injuries.

On 22/10/2009 at 2030 hrs accused Ashok Kumar abused his father Vishwanatha Gowda (55) R/o Madyalamajalu Nettanige Mudnooru village Puttur Taluk in his house and assaulted him with wooden rod and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 25/10/2009 at 1100 hrs accused one Deviprasad R/o Arthaje Jalsooru village Sullia Taluk criminally restrained and abused one Sanjay Kumar V (41) R/o Paicharu Jalsooru village Sullia Taluk in filthy language at Paicharu Jalsooru village village Sullia Taluk and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Konaje Police Station. In between 0650 hrs and 0840 hrs of 25/10/2009 one unknown dead body aged about 40 years was found near Infosys at Kurnadu village Bantwal Taluk accidentally fell down and died on the spot due to some illness.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. In between 1000 hrs and 1400 hrs of 23/10/2009 one Sushila (60) R/o Paddayimajalu Gunduri village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming pesticide in her house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 25/10/2009 and 0830 hrs of 26/10/2009 one Suchitra (18) R/o Maindadka Kadirudyavara village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming some pioson in her house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 25/10/2009 at 0900 hrs one Anne Gowda @ Madhukumara (23) R/o Nagamandala Mandya District accidentally slipped into the Kumaradhara river while taking bath at Subramanya Sullia Taluk and died due drowning.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Woman missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. One Sugandi (24) R/o Sudemugeru Belthangady Town left her house on 17/10/2009 at 0900 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
