On 10/10/2009 at 1900 hrs accused one Felix Saldhana R/o Moodukayikadu Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk killed one Cyril Saldhana R/o Moodukayikadu Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk by assaulting with sickle near his house owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 10/10/2009 at 1400 hrs at T.C Road Ullal village Mangalore Taluk one Mahammad Sharif rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-6657 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which it capsized. As a result Imran @ Mahammad Imran (23) R/o Halekote Ullal village Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 10/10/2009 at 0745 hrs on NH 48 at Kannuru Mangalore Taluk one driver of Auto tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9110 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Muneer a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 10/10/2009 at 1730 hrs at Basavadadda Kadirudyavara Belthangady Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-2406 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Veerappa Poojary (52) R/o Kukkavu Mithabagilu village Belthangady Taluk, Lakshmi and Sashina who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 10/10/2009 at 1910 hrs at Kavupete Madnuru village Puttur Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-7536 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Thirumalleshwara and Sathyanarayana who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 10/10/2009 at 1400 hrs at Amchinadka Madnuru village Puttur Taluk one Prajwal Krishna rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-4827 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a bicycle. As a result one Gunashekara rider of said bicycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 11/10/2009 at 1950 hrs at Kumbra Olamogru village Puttur Taluk one Yelyanna passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2580 while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries.

On 11/10/2009 at 1900 hrs accused Pakku, Vikram, Jeevan, Tharesh, Vinodh and Rakesh others forming into an unlawful assembly near school at Kumpala Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk and abused Sandeep (20) R/o Ashraya colony Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk and Anil in filthy language and assaulted them with soda bottle and also gave life treat to them owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 11/10/2009 at 0730 hrs accused Karunakara Shetty, Kittanna Shetty, Suresh, Kiran and 30 others forming into an unlawful assembly and criminal restrained one Mahammad M (67) R/o Kalanja village Sullia Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with sickle and also gave life treat to them owing to civil dispute.

On 11/10/2009 at 0730 hrs accused Mahammad, Hanif, Abid, Ismail, Mahammad, Hanif and Sharif forming into an unlawful assembly at Kalanja village Sullia Taluk and abused Mudda (38) R/o Nidumaru Balila village Sullia Taluk in filthy language referring to his caste and also abused Karunakara Sheety and Kiran Shetty and assaulted them with sharp weapons and also gave life trheat to them owing to civil dispute.

On 11/10/2009 at 1300 hrs Akbar Sharif, Noor Mahammad, Mahammad Sharif and another person criminally restrained one Hussain Bava @ Chai Bava (59) R/o Chokkabettu Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and damaged his car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-9174 by breaking the glass owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 11/10/2009 at 2145 hrs Vinith and Sathya criminally trespassed in to the Sahara hospital Thokkottu Mangalore Where in one Jeevan Shetty (21) R/o Kumpala Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk admitted as a inpatient and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 11/10/2009 at 1245 hrs on credible information PI Mangalore South PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Dhoomavathi temple at Hoigebazar Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 06 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 3, 390/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Hameed (34), Shivaraj (38), Vargis (58), Praveen Bhandary and Farooq (44) who were indulged in gambling. However another accused Pammi @ Praveen manages to escape from the scene. Total worth of seized property is Rs. 9,000/.
- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 11/10/2009 at 1815 hrs on credible information PI Mangalore East PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near guesthouse at Kadri Mundana Mangalore. At the time of raid Police found 13 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 4,500/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Shivananda, Vittal Reddy, Shivananda, Subramanya, Pakirappa @ Ashoka, Shrishaila, Pakiresh, Ramappa Hanumantha Thalvara, Gururaj Chandrappa Valmiki, Manjunatha Dalwayi, Ranganatha, Durgappa Bhimappa Madar and Mallesh who were indulged in gambling.
- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 11/10/2009 at 1545 hrs on credible information PSI Subramanya PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Chinganigudde Aivathoklu village Sullia Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 08 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 3,625/, mobile phones (04) and playing cards from the spot by arresting Hasan Kunhi (55) R/o Gutthige Enmuru village Sullia Taluk, Kittanna Rai (48) R/o Kerekodi Kenya village Sullia Taluk, Hameed (34) R/o Shanthinagar Murulya village Sullia Taluk and Siddiq (22) R/o perla Kasaragod Kerala State who were indulged in gambling. However accused Venkatramana Gowda R/o Nayarkere Panja Sullia Taluk, Thimmappa Gowda R/o Bollaje Aivathoklu village Sullia Taluk and Kushalappa Gowda R/o Polanja Aivathoklu village Sullia Taluk manages to escape from the scene
Unnatural Death Report: 01
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 10/11/2009 at 1400 hrs one Sharadha (47) R/o Kenjaru Bajpe Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the Palguni river at Kuloor Padukodi village Mangalore Taluk and died due drowning.
