- A case under Cruelty by Husband has been registered in Woman Police Station on the complaint of one Bharathi (36) W/o Dharmaraj R/o Laxmi Apartment Lalbhag Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Dharmaraj (husband) gave physical and mental harassment to one Bharathi to bring more dowry.

On 17/10/2009 at 2015 hrs in front of Court at Moodabidre Town Mangalore Taluk one Sachin driver of maruthi Zen car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-1999 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-5220. As a result motorcycle rider Krishna (28) R/o Kodangallu Pranthya village Mangalore Taluk and Manjula pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 17/10/2009 at 1700 hrs at Shivanagara Moodushedde village Mangalore Taluk one Mayyaddi driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5590 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an Electric pole. As a result Mohammed Ali (28) R/o Panjimogaru Mangalore, Sarfraz, Sayid and Afrid who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 18/10/2009 at 0930 hrs at Kapina Bhagilu Kowkardy village Puttur Taluk one driver of Maruthi Alto car bearing Reg. No. KA-04-MG-186 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MH-9307 driven by Girish B (22) R/o Nidle village Belthangady Taluk. As a result Hithesh Pal and Devi Prasad who were traveling in the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MH-9307 sustained simple injuries.

On 18/10/2009 at 1430 hrs at Basthikodi Kodambeddu village Bantwal Taluk one Abdul Karim rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-9814 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Rakshith a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

Chandrashekara forming into an unlawful assembly near Hillside hotel at Sullia Town and abused one Koragappa (45) R/o Sullia Town in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Rioting, House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Mischief causing damage has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 18/10/2009 at 2000 hrs accused Gopala Naik, Venkappa Naik, Ravi, Narayana and others forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into house belonging to one Bhaskara Naik R/o Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him and his wife Shashikala with sickle and with wooden stick and also damaged the property of his house owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 18/10/2009 at 1300 hrs on credible information PSI Kavoor PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place behind the Bar & Restaurant at Marakada village Mangalore Taluk. At the time of raid Police found five persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 700/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Chand Pasha (30), Ambarisha (24), Vittal (24), Parashurama and Manthesha who were indulged in gambling.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 18/10/2009 at 1430 hrs one unknown male dead body was found at Gundy Forest Shirady village Puttur Taluk. It seems to be a case of suicide by hanging.

- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. One Harinakshi (22) R/o Jeppu Bappal Mangalore left her house on 17/10/2009 at 1200 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
